Increase Equality in Education. As the organization that litigated Brown v. Board of Education, the landmark Supreme Court case that struck down segregation in public schools, LDF has long led the struggle for equal education in the United States.

Rainforest Foundation US protects the rainforests of Central and South America by working with the indigenous communities.

THE MISSION

The Rainforest Foundation US works on-the-ground to secure land rights for indigenous people. We strengthen indigenous land security and train indigenous communities to use technology to protect their forests. By investing directly in indigenous communities, we connect people who are deeply motivated to conserve their ancestral lands with the tools, training, and resources necessary to protect their rainforests.

High Tech meets ancestral traditions to fight deforestation. Rainforest Foundation US is building networks of indigenous technical experts to use Satellites & Drones to monitor illegal logging in the Amazon.

Al Otro Lado advocates for the rights and dignity of migrants via impactful litigation, legal representation & disrupting systemic injustices.

THE MISSION

Al Otro Lado is a binational social justice organization that coordinates and provides screening, advocacy, and legal representation to asylum seekers and deportees in Tijuana, Mexico, medically vulnerable undocumented immigrants and detained immigrants in Southern Calfiornia, and immigrant parents who have been impacted by policies of family separation. Al Otro Lado prides itself on holistic, trauma-informed representation of individuals, while also challenging systemic abuses of our clients' rights through impact litigation.

THE PRACTICAL FACTS

Angela, a victim of horrific domestic violence, was deported and separated from her two, undocumented teenage sons in the United States, forcing them into homelessness. A U Visa was filed for her based on severe domestic violence, and the case was been pending for far beyond normal processing times. Al Otro Lado investigated the cause of the delay with USCIS, the case was granted, Al Otro Lado traveled to Tijuana to bring Angela back to the US. She is now reunited with her two sons, whose derivative U Visa petitions have also been granted.

Miguel fled severe violence in his home state of Michoacán where an immediate family member had been brutally murdered several days prior. Al Otro Lado prepared Miguel to turn himself in at the Customs and Border Protection port of entry in San Diego, CA. He passed his Credible Fear Interview and is now in the United States and released from custody living with family.

FEEDING AMERICA COVID-19 RESPONSE FUND

Feeding America is a nonprofit organization that is a nationwide network of more than 200 food banks that feed more than 46 million people through food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other community-based agencies.

Feeding America’s mission is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage the United States in the fight to end hunger.

COVID-19 Response Fund. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, Feeding America is committed to serving communities and individuals facing hunger across America, wherever they are.

Ensure children to have access to food outside of the classroom. Without access to school meals, children lose a consistent source of healthy food. As such, Feeding America will continue to work with school districts and local government agencies to ensure children who rely on school meals have access to food outside of the classroom.
